Nari

Background
When Vanja was young she found a baby sand wraith in a trapper's shipwreck. She saved him and they clicked and their bond grew even stronger over time. He was named Nari after the Norse god, son of Loki and Sigyn. As they got older Vanja could tell Nari loved digging and tried to burrow but where she lived there wasn't sand and he often got frustrated. On their expeditions to shores Vanja saw a new playful side of her dragon in the beaches' sand cause the boy fucking love that mineral. Nari didn't like to fly out to beaches alone because he was extremely loyal to his rider and didn't like leaving her. When Vanja was old enough to leave her Norse home she wanted to get Nari a HUGE sandbox that he could play in to his heart's content so they set off to a desert. Vanja now lives alone in the dessert with her sand wraith dragon Nari. Vanja loves being alone and is completely content spending her days with her dragon companion and the sparse company of the desert. Every few months they fly out to visit old friends and family and occasionally friends fly in and stay awhile.


Vanja's looks
She has long ginger hair (about to the tiddy) and light green eyes. Her pale Norse skin is a tanned from living in the desert but not too dark. She wears covering desert clothes and only her eyes are exposed. She appears gender neutral and passersby usually use they/them pronouns because they can't tell if she's a woman or man. Vanja doesn't care about gender and doesn't try to feminize herself even when people mistake her for a male.


Location
Vanja has a camp about a mile away from a small desert town that she sleeps at with Nari. She enjoys the vast openness of the desert and gazing at the night sky while leaning against her dragon. Nari likes to burrow a lot and be left alone so they both enjoy the solitary lifestyle besides each other's company. When not at camp they visit the local town together for food and news and a bit of socialization for Vanja. They adventure the desert together and Vanja records her findings on other species, landmarks, etc and she earns a few coins from researchers that they buy delicacies with. Vanja likes giving Nari good boy treats.
